Conversations in your community don't die just because someone closed the tab. Single emails people when there's something new to come back to.
The two emails
Someone replied to your comment. Goes to the fan who wrote the original comment.
Someone commented on your post. Goes to whoever the post is credited to, for any comment or reply on it.
Each one shows who said it, their check if they have one, what they wrote, and a link that drops the reader straight onto that comment.
Who gets emailed
What happens | Who hears about it |
A fan comments on your post | You |
You reply to a fan | That fan |
One fan replies to another | The fan who was replied to, and you |
You comment on your own post | Nobody |
Nobody ever gets two emails about the same comment.
How fans turn it off
Fans control this themselves on your store, under My Account → Email Preferences → Edit. There are two checkboxes:
New Posts — the email when you publish something.
Comments and Replies — the two above.
Both are on by default, and they're independent — a fan who mutes comment emails still hears about new posts.
Common questions
Can I turn these off for my whole community?
No — it's each fan's choice, in their own account.
Is there a daily or weekly summary instead?
No. Every comment and reply sends its own email.
Can I brand these like my post emails?
Not yet. These use Single's standard design — your custom post email template doesn't apply to them.
