Moderators are the people who help you run the club — a manager, label staff, a crew member. They get into the whole community feed without buying a membership, and they can't get into your Single account.
Add a moderator
Have them log in to your store once, with a normal store account. Nothing to buy.
In Single, go to Posts → Settings.
Under Manage Moderators, click Add Moderator.
Search for them by email and select them.
Click Save.
Note: They have to log in first. You're picking from people who already have an account on your store, so someone who has never signed in won't come up in the search. Give it up to 30 minutes after you save.
What a moderator can do
See every post, including ones locked to tiers — without buying a membership.
Comment on any post, under their own username, with a green Team check.
Post from your store. Their posts go live right away, nothing to approve.
Remove other members' comments. The ... menu next to any comment gives them Archive. The comment disappears from the feed — it's hidden, not deleted, so you can still see what was said.
Note: Videos and Music stay locked. Being a moderator opens up the community feed — posts and comments. The Videos and Music tabs sit outside the feed and stay gated for them like anyone else.
Remove a moderator
Remove them under Manage Moderators. That's it.
If the person is also a verified artist, this won't stick — the email on their author profile is what put them there. Archive that profile instead. See Verify the Artist in Your Community.
Common questions
Do moderators have to buy a membership?
No. They need a login on your store, but they never have to join a tier — including on a paid club with no free option.
What's the difference between a moderator and a Single user?
A moderator only has powers inside your community, on your store. A user has access to your Single account — billing, products, everything. If someone needs that, add them as a user instead.
What's the difference between a moderator and an author?
An author is just the name and photo credited on a post. A moderator is a person with powers. Verifying an artist makes them both automatically — see Verify the Artist in Your Community.
Can fans tell who's a moderator?
Yes. Their comments and posts carry a green Team check. Fans have none.
Do moderators show up in my member count?
No. They have no membership, so they stay out of your member numbers, your billing and your member emails.
