When fans see a comment from the artist, they should know it's really the artist. Verifying puts a blue check next to their name — and lets them join in from your store, without a Single login and without buying a membership.
What fans see

Anyone on your team who moderates gets a green Team check instead. If someone is both, fans see the blue one.
Verify an artist
In Single, go to Posts → Manage Authors.
Click Edit next to the artist — or Add Author if they're not there yet.
Add the email the artist uses to log in to your store.
Click Save.
Note: Use their store login, not their Single login. These are usually different emails, and the check only appears if it matches the one they sign into your store with.
It kicks in the next time they log in. If they're already logged in, have them sign out and back in. You can add the email before they've ever signed up — it attaches the first time they do.
What the artist can do once verified
Post from your store. They'll see a Create a Post button on the community page. Posts go live right away under their name and artwork — nothing to approve.
Read everything. Every post in the feed, including tiers they're not on.
Comment anywhere, shown as the artist — their name, their artwork, their check.
Remove other members' comments.
Skip the membership. No purchase, no Single login. They stay out of your member count, your billing and your member emails.
What the artist sees in My Account
Their artist name and artwork, not a fan profile — and they can't edit it there. It's managed from Single, under Manage Authors. There's no membership card and no join prompt, because they aren't a member.
Remove a verified artist
Archive their author profile in Manage Authors.
Note: Taking them out of Manage Moderators won't stick — the email on their author profile is what put them there. Archive the author profile instead.
Common questions
Does the artist need a Single account?
No. They do everything from your store, in the same place fans do.
Does the artist have to join the membership?
No — not even on a paid club with no free tier.
Can I verify more than one person?
Yes. Add an email to each author profile you want verified — useful for a band where a few members post.
The artist has no check and looks like a fan.
Almost always the wrong email. Make sure the one on their author profile matches the email they log in to your store with, then have them sign in again. If their author profile is archived, restore it.
What's the difference between the blue check and the green one?
Blue is the artist. Green is your team — a manager, label staff, anyone moderating. See Add and Manage Moderators.
