What are Single Promotions?
Single Promotions are simple merch offers—like a discount or free item—that fans can grab around a show. They get more people to the merch booth and let you see which fans are actually buying.
How do fans get the promo?
Fans can get it before the show from an email, presale, or social post, or at the venue from signs or screens. They scan a QR or tap a link and usually show up with the promo already on their phone.
Is this just another email capture tool?
No. Email is just part of it. The real win is knowing who is buying merch at shows, what they’re buying, and how much they’re spending — and having that data automatically flow back into your CRM.
What if fans are already on the mailing list?
That’s totally normal—and actually the point. Most merch sales happen at shows, but artists usually don’t know which fans on their list are buying. This connects those purchases back to existing fans so you finally know who your real spenders are.
Does this slow down the merch line or require new gear?
No. Fans show a code on their phone, the merch seller scans it with the POS they already use, and the discount applies automatically. No extra hardware, no added steps.
How much does this cost, and do discounts hurt merch revenue?
You only pay $1 when it works—meaning a fan scans, redeems the promo, and actually buys merch. The discount doesn’t eat your margin: promos increase conversion and basket size, so fans spend more overall, and the lift typically covers both the discount and the $1 fee.
Do you support anything other than atVenu?
Not at the moment. That said, you can still use Single for in-venue fan collection in other ways—things like tour diaries, giveaways, or voting on setlists.
