The Tracklist block is a Single-built app block for Shopify that adds a tracklist with preview playback to your product pages. Fans get a 30-second preview of each track right on the page — an easy way to let visitors hear what they're about to buy.
How to add the Tracklist block
Open your Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes
Click Customize on your live theme
In the top dropdown, click Products → Default product
In the left sidebar, click Add block under the product information section
Under Apps, select Single: Tracklist
Drag it directly below the product description)
Click Save
The tracklist will now automatically appear on products that the digital release is attached to.
What fans will see
The full tracklist with track titles and durations
A play button on each track for a 30-second preview

Customizing the block
Click the block in the theme editor to see all the customization options. A few things worth knowing:
Mode — switch between Live (default) and Demo. Use Demo mode to test and style the block before you've attached a digital release to a product.
Single Release ID — leave this blank on product templates. The block auto-populates from the digital release attached to the product or variant. Only fill it in if you need to override.
Display Block to visitors when — controls who sees the block: Always, only members who have access / are logged in, or only those who do not have access / are not logged in. Heads up: the block always displays in the Theme Editor regardless of this setting — preview your live theme to test customer visibility.
Tracklist & Player toggles — show or hide the player, track length, time elapsed, artwork, and countdown.
Layout — track separator width, top and bottom padding, player border width, and player border radius.
Colors — choose Color Scheme to inherit the section's color scheme (optimized for Horizon and Horizon-based themes), or Custom to set your own colors for individual elements.
Common gotchas
The block is on the wrong template. Make sure you added it to the Default product template, not a custom one.
Theme doesn't support app blocks. If you're on a Vintage theme (pre-Online Store 2.0), you'll need to switch to a 2.0 theme.
What's next
Once your Tracklist block is live, the next step is to enable Single on your checkout pages so fans can start listening the moment they complete purchase — no waiting on the email.
You'll enable it on two pages:
Thank you page
Order status page
See Enable Single on Shopify Checkout for the step-by-step.
