Create a Free Community in Single

Follow the steps below to set up and publish a free community in your Single dashboard. Before you get started, make sure you have these Shopify settings enabled in your account.


1. Log Into Your Single Account

  1. Sign in to your Single account.

  2. In the left-hand sidebar, click Community.


2. Start Creating Your Community

  1. Click + Create Community.

  2. Enter a name for your community.

  3. Set a launch date and time.

  4. Click Save and Continue.


3. Create Your Free Tier

  1. Click Add Free Tier.

  2. Fill in the following details:

    1. Tier name (optional, but recommended)

    2. Description

    3. Image (optional, but recommended)

  3. Click Save.


4. Customize Welcome Notifications (Optional)

  1. Edit the Header text shown on confirmation emails.

  2. Edit the Message shown after signup.

  3. Update the Login Button Label (optional).

  4. Update the Activate Account Button Label (optional).

  5. (Optional) Add a Custom Landing Page After Login URL.


5. Set Up Wallet Pass Design (Optional)

Free tiers can include a Wallet Pass for promotions or in-person perks. To configure Wallet Passes, follow the instructions in the dedicated article:


6. Configure Advanced Options (Optional)

  1. Add a Customer Tag (optional).

  2. Set a Member Limit (optional).

  3. Enable or disable Terms & Conditions Opt-In.

  4. Toggle Block Signups if Perks Are Unavailable (optional).


7. Publish Your Community

  1. Review your community details.

  2. Click Publish to make your free community live.
