How do I obtain a UPC?

In order to report sales, you need a UPC for your album. Here's how to find yours.

Finding your Codes:

  • Through a Distributor: Typically, working with a music distributor means they will supply these codes as part of their distribution services.

  • Purchasing Independently: Not affiliated with a distributor?

    • If in the US, purchase a UPC here.

    • If in Australia, purchase a UPC here.

Registering your Codes

  • If reporting to Billboard, register your UPC here.

  • If reporting to OCC, registering happens via an application called Tornado. To apply for a Tornado account you have to email chartsproduct@kantar.com

  • If reporting to ARIA, register your UPC here.
