Embedding a YouTube video in a text post lets fans see the video and thumbnail right inside the post, without leaving the feed. Tap play to watch on the page, or open in YouTube for full-screen.
This works well for:
Posting a music video early for fan club members while keeping it discoverable on YouTube
Sharing a livestream or premiere
Embedding any YouTube link — public, unlisted, or private
Just want to link out instead? Use the Call-to-Action Button at the bottom of the post setup and paste the YouTube URL there. Fans will see a button that opens YouTube in a new tab. No iframe needed.
How to embed the video
Grab the embed code from YouTube. On the YouTube video, click Share → Embed, then copy the full iframe code (the block of code starting with
<iframe). In Single, open Posts → Manage → Create Post, and select Text as the post type.
In the Body field, click Source (top-left icon in the editor toolbar). This switches the editor to HTML view.
Paste the iframe code where you want the video to appear in the body. Click Source again to switch back to the visual view — the video preview will render in place.
Fill in the rest of the post (title, tags, audience, etc.) and click Publish Now or Schedule for Later.
What fans see
The video thumbnail with a play button, embedded directly in the post
Tapping play starts the video right there on the page
Fans can also open the video in YouTube for full-screen viewing
Can I embed any YouTube video?
Yes — public, unlisted, and private YouTube links all work. The embed will play as long as YouTube allows playback (some videos restrict embedding via the video owner's settings).
What if I don't see the video after pasting?
A few common reasons:
The iframe code didn't paste cleanly. Go back to YouTube and copy the full block again, starting with
<iframeand ending with</iframe>. Then paste it back into Source view. You pasted just the video URL, not the iframe code. Pasting a plain YouTube URL won't embed — you need the full iframe from YouTube's Share → Embed menu. (Or use the Call-to-Action Button to link out instead.)
The video owner has disabled embedding. Some YouTube videos can't be embedded anywhere. You'll need to use the Call-to-Action Button to link out instead.
